About Me

Sheri Dursin is a writer, speaker, and experienced retreat presenter. For ten years she has been presenting spiritual retreat programs to faith communities across the State of Connecticut. She is the creator of Hearing God’s Whisper, a blog that features her own spiritual reflections, poems, and prayers. This became the basis for Sheri’s recently published book, Hearing God’s Whisper: Discovering the Sacred in Ordinary Moments.

In 2017 Sheri and her husband Mark published a young adult fantasy novel called Labors of an Epic Punk, a retelling of Homer’s Odyssey from the point of view of Odysseus’ teenage son.  Their book was awarded a 2018 Moonbeam Children’s Book Award.

Sheri earned a B.A. from Holy Cross College in Worcester, Massachusetts and a Master’s Degree in College Student Counseling from Northeastern University. She worked as an academic counselor for Boston University in the late 1990s before she and her husband moved back to Connecticut to raise their twin boys.
